Vintage Glengyle Knitwear Hand Loomed Belted Dress & Sweater Jacket
This vintage Glengyle Knitwear Hand Loomed belted dress and sweater jacket dates from the 1950s. It is made of a ecru cream color hand loomed cotton knit woven fabric. This stunning sweater knit dress two piece outfit has a form fitting dress with a scalloped squared neckline, short cap sleeves, a long pencil skirt, matching knit fabric belt, buckle and is unlined. The dress measures 43 inches long, with a 40 inch bust, 30 inch waist and 40 inch hips. Included is matching knit fabric cardigan sweater jacket with and open front, no closure, scalloped edging trim, fold over collar, long sleeves with ribbed cuffs, waistband, broad shoulder padding with a “Cornelia Bigelow Laguna Beach” store label sewn inside and is unlined. There is a “Glengyle Knitwear Hand Loomed” label sewn inside. The sweater top measures 17 inches long, with a 42 inch bust, 18 inch long sleeve and 16 inch back. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of hand loomed knitwear wearable art!
